It was 1998 when, in a cold and long January night, in company with "General Wind" who was proceeding imposing along the narrow streets of our little town with army composed by freezing wind and roaring raing, the Great Council of our Association met in the oldest Corinaldo house, known as "La Casa del 400".

That night it was possible to feel a strange, unusual, almost magic atmosphere maybe created by the presence of the big fireplace which with its fire was giving us warmth and enlighting the room with a low and suggestive light...it's strange to tell about things and thoughts which usually it's better to avoid to talk about...But, believe to us, in that room made of bricks and wood, there really was something more in the air...something enchanted... and so, moved by a magic thrill, as we were taken by something misterious, maybe the sixth sense... we got the inspiration for the greatest idea who everybody of us was looking for but, since then, nobody had succedeed to reach...

It was a difficult period: our Association, Pro Loco Corinaldo, was a little bit apart, it did not have the attentions an association should have in its own town. It needs something sensational to regain energy, grit, to reconquer that people who had moved away...new awesome ideas were necessary... and so, in that instant, everybody, thanks to the unusual moment, thought about a great party... HALLOWEEN !


The idea to manage an event inspired by witches, spirits and ghosts and which, at the same time, was able to reproduce the Carnival's atmosphere, seemed exciting and on the beam: so Halloween was born, organized for the first time along Scorticatore's walls.

Today thanks to many consensunses, this party had enlarged all over the hystorical centre. More than 600 volounteers make this dream come true, an event which led Corinaldo to the title of "Italian Halloween Capital City", as national press entitled.
Halloween - La Festa delle Streghe, arrived to the twelveth edition, attracts visitors and people from all over the nation.

Grit, energy, experience, creativity, passion and a little bit of folly, are always the ingredients of this formidable recipe which can always astonish and make itself appreciate surprising the public.

Matching the enery and the experience of the adults and the enthusiasm and the will of the young people and having a wonderful scenario such as Corinaldo, "the most beautiful town of the World", with its magic atmosphere, we are proud to have a perfect osmosis of elements to propose, once more, an unique and fascinating event.

Halloween in Corinaldo is a sort of autumnal Carnival, in the last weekend of October: we simply want give smiles and have fun, distributing again a shudder to everybody: adults, children and elderly.

The recipe does work: walking through the narrow streets of our medieval town in the end of October nights, surrounded by a odours of candles and pumpkins, you can meet suggestive settings, fascinating scenographies, unnerving presences, taverns - where food and drinks are served by ogres and monsters - misterious characters play and dance, fires will appear and disappear: a genuine amusement with a good dose of thrill.

If you are around our place just come over to visit us during Halloween: the witches' party can be enjoyed only living it bodily.

For us there's no spectators ! Out audience will be the greatest actor on the scene !
